Why does the medical industry need CNC machining applications?

1.Faced with the diverse needs of patients, the medical industry needs products with stable quality and easy customization to ensure that the needs of each patient are taken care of. Coupled with hygienic considerations, most medical supplies are for one-time use to avoid cross-infection of patients during treatment. Faced with a large number of high-standard medical supplies, medical institutions must have space to store these medical supplies. Therefore, some medical institutions will require manufacturers to provide samples before production, especially before the institution begins to use emerging medical technologies. Therefore, samples are very important in the entire medical industry, allowing doctors to test the effectiveness of products before implementing new medical technologies.

2.Taking dental implants as an example, traditional dentures must first be impressioned by a dentist, and then handed over to a cooperating manufacturer to manufacture dentures. The entire process takes at least seven working days. If there is a problem with the finished product, the process has to be repeated. In recent years, digital dentist technology has gradually matured, and some dental clinics have begun to use this technology. The traditional impression process is replaced by an intraoral scanner. After completion, the data is uploaded to the cloud and the design can begin. In the design stage, all aspects of the product can be checked through CAD software to ensure that the produced model can meet the needs of patients and reduce errors. After completion, it can be completed by CNC lathe processing. The working time has been greatly shortened from the original seven days to about half an hour.

3.In addition to dental implant technology, CNC machining has a wide range of medical applications, including MRI nuclear magnetic resonance scanning, various protective gear and orthotics, monitoring instruments, casings, aseptic packaging and other medical equipment. CNC processing technology brings great convenience to the medical industry. In the past, it took a lot of time to design and manufacture medical equipment, but now through CNC processing, it is possible to manufacture accurate, highly customized medical equipment in a short period of time, and at the same time meet FDA (Food and Drug Administration) standards.
